Voting
Voting directs the next distribution of pool emissions. It is the patron's craft: each epoch, the collective allocation of veRAPH voting power decides where the protocol's $RAPH flows.
How to vote
- Select a veNFT.
- Choose one or more eligible pools.
- Allocate voting power among them.
- Review the total allocation and expected rewards.
- Cast the vote before the current cutoff.
If less than 100% is explicitly allocated, the interface or contracts may normalise the selected weights proportionally. Review the final transaction details before signing.
Vote behaviour
- A veNFT may be limited to one vote update per epoch.
- Unchanged votes may carry into later epochs.
- Adding tokens or extending a lock can increase voting power; the vote may need to be recast to use the increase.
- Killed, ineligible or replaced gauges should not receive new emissions.
- Votes near the epoch boundary can fail if the operational window has begun.
Evaluating pools
Voting rewards should not be assessed by incentive value alone. Consider:
- sustainable swap volume and fees;
- incentive token liquidity and volatility;
- pool and gauge status;
- total competing votes;
- token and smart-contract risk;
- whether an incentive can be claimed and sold economically.
A pool with modest incentives and genuine volume can outearn a pool with generous incentives and none. The wheel rewards judgment; see Voting Fees and Incentives for what a vote actually earns.
note
Voting for a pool is not an endorsement by Raphael, and a pool's vote total is not evidence of its safety.
